Saghro, The wild Rocky massif

Trip overview

Description :

The Saghro is a wild and rocky massif witch cannot forget those who visited it, it is a Dantesque region. Charles de Foucault who crossed it in part reports that this chain consists of a high plateau of an average altitude of 2000m, which is reached by long ramps successions, sometimes stony, the upper plateau has a large and green surface, ridges, bristling peaks and their volcanic masses. Our hike will take place in a pre-Saharan atmosphere and over a highest point of 2,600 m high. Only Few villages, but enough nomads from the great tribe of Ait Atta that come to graze their herds.
