We drive through the popular Ourika valley to meet your local Berber trekking team. Start your trek by climbing up to the highlands of Yagour. This is the site of the ancient nomadic shepherds of the Atlas and home to the most beautiful rock carvings of the Moroccan High Atlas.
We spend the next two days exploring the plateau full of stone carvings telling ancient stories of hunters, hunting and war…. ending with the most famous beautiful sun wheel of Yagour. These rock carvings are over 3000 years old.
Hike down to the beautiful Zat valley, to the beautiful Azgour village. We pass villages in with their own oasis with goats and sheep, with fig trees and olive trees. Visit Talataste known for its Berber potters. Visit Tighadouini village, famous for its roadside food stalls and its rich fields growing walnut trees, olive trees and potatoes, turnips and tomatoes. Take in this magical panoramic scene.
