Best Moments
A warm welcome on arrival, crossing the Atlas Mountains towards the desert, discovering the Drâa Valley on camelback, immersion in a Saharan village, and then returning to Marrakech.
You will be greeted by a member of our team and accompanied to your hotel.
After an early breakfast, you set off towards the deep south. The change of scenery begins immediately. You cross the Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), admire the green valleys of the High Atlas, and pass through Ouarzazate, Agdz and Zagora before meeting your camel team waiting for you in the Drâa Valley. Dinner and overnight bivouac.
Over the next few days, you will explore a wide variety of landscapes. You follow the beautiful Drâa Valley, with its chain of oases and traditional rammed-earth villages, moving at the peaceful rhythm of the desert. You then discover different desert environments — ergs, regs, dunes, ksour and palm groves — a rich and varied journey through the Sahara.
Today you arrive at the Saharan village of Oulad Driss. You visit this remarkable village, where you discover a community whose survival depends on collective life. You also visit its eco-museum and are invited to a traditional Moroccan dinner. Forget cutlery — enjoy the simple pleasure of eating with your hands and sharing the meal together. Dinner in Bedouin tents.
Return journey to Marrakech. The experience plays back like a film in reverse. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon and check-in at your hotel.
