Best Moments

A warm welcome on arrival, followed by a journey crossing the Atlas Mountains towards the desert. Discover the Drâa Valley on camelback, immerse yourself in life in a Saharan village, and return to Marrakech.

On arrival at Marrakech airport, you will be welcomed and accompanied by our guide or a member of Terres et Voyages to your accommodation.

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, depart by 4×4 towards Ouarzazate, crossing the High Atlas via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the most beautiful road in Morocco. Visit the Kasbah of Telouet, then descend through the Ounila Valley to the magnificent Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Travel across a beautiful desert plateau between the Central High Atlas and the Saghro Massif. Discover a valley famous for its rose fragrance and the dramatic landscapes of the Dades Valley. Continue towards the Todra Gorges, where towering cliffs create a breathtaking natural spectacle.

We cross the volcanic Saghro Massif via the Tazazert Pass at 2,300 metres, through a striking rocky landscape where the Aït Atta nomads keep their sheepfolds. As we continue, the desert haze slowly reveals the beauty of the Drâa Valley, once part of the ancient caravan route linking the Sahara to sub-Saharan Africa. We then reach the vast desert plains and arrive at the foot of the towering dunes of M’Hamid.

Our journey continues north to reach the Anti-Atlas Mountains at Foum Zguit, crossing the arid slopes of Bani. We will follow a verdant valley, fragrant with dates, to arrive at Taznakht and then the Siroua massif, renowned for its red gold, saffron, your final stop on the way to the ochre city.
