A feast for the eyes along trails used only by muleteers, an encounter with the simple yet rich Berber way of life, brimming with the spirit of human adventure. A mule trek through a little-known valley, home to some of the most beautiful and ancient rock engravings in the Moroccan Atlas Mountains, following in the footsteps of the Berber shepherds who roam the landscapes of the renowned Yagour plateau, nestled in the heart of the High Atlas.

You have arrived in the land of the Moors, Mourrakouch…Marrakech. Our guide will meet you and then take you back to your accommodation.
A quick stop in the touristy Ourika Valley, then a slower pace to meet our Berber team. We set off on our trek to the Yagour highlands, summer pastures for Atlas shepherds and home to some of the most beautiful rock engravings in the Moroccan High Atlas.
In search of an ancient hunting scene carved into the rock, an idol, or weapons… culminating in the great Yagour disc, these rock engravings could be up to 3,000 years old. The Yagour plateau is also a land where you’ll encounter an open and welcoming population.
We descend to the stunning Zat Valley, then reach the beautiful village of Azgour and the must-see mountain villages of Talataste, known for its Berber potters, and Tighadouine, famous for its seven magical springs with curative properties, nestled in an exceptional natural landscape where walnut, olive, and juniper trees abound.
Our last night, in the mountains. We’ll meet your transfer vehicle and travel to Marrakech. Visit the medina and its magnificent gardens before your return flight.
