Overview

Discover the Berbers, the first inhabitants of Morocco and North Africa, on this 4x4 journey through the wild and sublime landscapes of the Moroccan desert and the High Atlas Mountains. You'll traverse valleys towards summits or vast, arid deserts towards verdant oases, encountering smiling faces, picturesque villages, and earthen ksours where an ancestral way of life persists despite the encroachments of modernity. In these regions, nature reigns supreme, dictating the rhythm of the seasons to the ancient Berber tribes, where a pause is essential… a mint tea or lunch is a sign of the hospitality and welcome of a people always delighted to share their culture with visitors.

Best Moments

4x4 trip in the heart of Morocco, between the desert, the Atlas Mountains, and authentic Berber culture.

At Marrakech Airport, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation. Check-in and then a visit to the medina, depending on your arrival flight.

Continuing our journey towards the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains to reach the high plateaus of Imilchil and its two lakes. Despite the tragic end of the love legend linking two Berber tribes of the region, the two betrothed women, Isli and Tislit, contributed to the creation of a landscape of exceptional beauty in the region: turquoise lakes and beautiful, multicolored mountains that shelter the Berber villages of the highlands.
Today, a long descent towards the Todra Gorges, a breathtaking spectacle of sheer cliffs. Crossing a desert plateau, we reach the Dades Gorges and their magnificent sites, the Monkey Fingers (a rock formation), and the Ait Arbi kasbahs. The following day takes us on a grand crossing of the Saghro volcanic massif and the sumptuous Draa Valley, a string of earthen villages and verdant oases.
A beautiful day dedicated to discovering the wonders of Ouarzazate. After crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains, we descend towards the “Moroccan Hollywood” to visit the magnificent Taourirt Kasbah, the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbahs, a former caravanserai and UNESCO World Heritage site on the trans-Saharan trade route between Marrakech and sub-Saharan Africa. We continue north via Telouet and the Tizi n’Tichka pass to reach the red city.
