On the edge of the vast expanse of southern Morocco, Terres et Voyages invites you to a true initiation into desert life. From the gardens of the Atlas Mountains to the stone desert, dunes and palm groves, caves and canyons, like authentic nomads, we will travel the caravan routes that fueled the golden age of Morocco's ancient kingdoms for centuries. Our tour is a journey of discovery into Moroccan culture and heritage, imbued with a spirit of conviviality and powerful emotions.

Best Moments

A warm welcome, crossing the Atlas Mountains towards the desert, discovering the Draa Valley on camelback, immersing ourselves in a Saharan village, then returning to Marrakech.

At the airport in the Red City, you will be greeted and accompanied by our guide or a member of Terres et Voyages to your accommodation.
After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, we’ll travel by 4×4 to Ouarzazate, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via Morocco’s most beautiful road and its famous Tizi n’Tichka pass. We’ll visit the Telouat Kasbah. Then we’ll descend the Ounila Valley to the beautiful Ait Ben Haddou Kasbahs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Driving across a beautiful desert plateau between the Central High Atlas and the Saghro Mountains to discover a valley renowned for its rose fragrance and the Dades Gorges with their magnificent natural sites. We will then travel further afield to reach the Todra Gorges, a breathtaking spectacle of sheer cliffs.
We cross the Saghro volcanic massif via the Tazazert Pass at 2300m, a magnificent rocky landscape sheltering the sheepfolds of the Ait Atta nomads. The desert mist conceals the secrets of the splendid Draa Valley on the ancient caravan route that crosses the vast Sahara towards sub-Saharan Africa. Now, we stand before the immensity of the desert before arriving at the foot of the highest dunes of Mhamid.
Our journey continues north to reach the Anti-Atlas Mountains at Foum Zguit, crossing the arid slopes of Bani. We will follow a verdant valley, fragrant with dates, to arrive at Taznakht and then the Siroua massif, renowned for its red gold, saffron, your final stop on the way to the ochre city.
